About Us — Our Values

We see every child as capable, unique and full of potential. Each child comes to our service with their own culture, family background, interests, abilities and ways of learning, and we value and incorporate these into our program to enhance their learning experiences. Our educators value these differences and support children to actively participate in their learning through play, exploration and meaningful relationships, helping them develop a strong sense of identity and a secure understanding of who they are.

At Little Oaks, the safety, wellbeing and rights of every child underpin all that we do.

We create an environment where children feel safe, secure and respected, and where their voices are genuinely heard and valued. We are committed to inclusive practices, ensuring every child and family feels welcomed, supported and valued within our community.

We believe that strong relationships are at the heart of early learning. Our educators work closely with children and families to create a warm, inclusive and respectful environment. Through these relationships, children learn to connect with and contribute to their world, developing respect, empathy and an understanding of others. Through collaboration with families, ongoing professional learning, and reflective practice, we continually review and improve our practices as part of an ongoing cycle of improvement.

At Little Oaks, play is central to our program.

Through play-based learning, children explore their world, develop new skills and build confidence. We support children to express themselves, share ideas and build language through meaningful interactions and experiences. Our role as educators is to guide, support and nurture each child, helping their strong roots grow so that every little oak can develop into a capable, resilient and lifelong learner.
